August 11, (THEWILL) — Priscilla Ojo has responded to social media users urging her to “free Juma Jux” after concerns over her husband’s noticeably slimmer appearance.
The Tanzanian singer’s new look drew attention after he attended the wedding of Nigerian content creators Peller and Jarvis in Lagos.
Some Tanzanian fans took to social media to question his weight loss, with several jokingly asking Priscilla to “leave their brother alone” and using the hashtag #FreeJumaJux.
The comments quickly spread across social media, prompting Priscilla to respond to some of the critics in her comment sections.
Juma Jux Explains His New Look
Jux has previously addressed the speculation surrounding his appearance, explaining that the change was intentional.
The singer said he noticed that his stomach was becoming bigger and decided to lose weight because he preferred his slimmer appearance.
“I like myself now. I just want to be rich and okay,” Jux said while responding to the concerns.
He also made it clear that there was nothing wrong with him and that the change was part of his decision to maintain a look he was more comfortable with.
Priscilla, meanwhile, responded to some of the comments with humour rather than treating the criticism as a serious concern.
She appeared to tease critics who had been asking her to “free” her husband, replying with comments such as, “Una for talk since, second belle don enter,” “Aww, your brother loves it here,” and “Too late,” accompanied by padlock and key emojis.
The responses were interpreted by some social media users as a playful hint that the couple could be expecting another child, although Priscilla did not explicitly confirm a pregnancy.
Jux’s sister, Fatma, also defended the couple, saying her brother had simply chosen a slimmer style and asking people to leave his wife alone.
