Presidency Flags Off Construction Of N21bn VIP Clinic

November 01, (THEWILL) – Prof Ibrahim Gambari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammdu Buhari, on Monday flagged off the construction of the Presidential Wing for the State House Clinic.

THEWILL had reported that the Permanent Secretary, State House, Umar Tijjani, disclosed that the President had approved the construction and equipping of a N21 billion 14-bed presidential clinic.

Tijjani, who explained that the construction firm, Messrs Julius Berger Nigeria, drew the clinic’s building plan, said the physical construction would start on November 1, 2021 and would be inaugurated on December 31, 2022.

Tijjani also said there would be an underground, first floor, two operating theatres, two executive suites, two VIP wards, two Isolation wards, and a six-bed isolation area in the building. There would also be a laboratory, healing garden, pharmacy, and X-ray facility in the clinic.

Prof. Ganbari, Tijjani, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina; a delegation from the Julius Berger Nigeria State House medical practitioners, were among several others who attended the the foundation-laying ceremony on Monday.
