August 30, (THEWILL) — Bruno Fernandes produced the standout individual performance of Premier League Matchday 2, scoring a hat-trick and providing an assist as Manchester United came from behind to beat Ipswich Town 5-2 at Old Trafford.

Malick Yalcouyé reduced the deficit before João Pedro’s own goal brought Brighton within one. Cole Palmer then restored Chelsea’s two-goal advantage, although Pascal Groß scored deep into stoppage time to create a nervy finish.
Chelsea held on to maintain their perfect start to the season and continue their strong opening under Xabi Alonso.
Liverpool held again at Anfield

Liverpool were forced to settle for another draw after Nottingham Forest twice took the lead in a 2-2 thriller at Anfield.
Dan Ndoye gave Forest the advantage before Alexander Isak equalised for Liverpool. Morgan Gibbs-White restored Forest’s lead from the penalty spot, but Victor Muñoz rescued a point for the hosts with a late equaliser.
The result leaves Liverpool still searching for their first win of the campaign after two matches, while Forest continue to show signs of being a difficult opponent early in the season.
Newcastle hand Tottenham another defeat
Tottenham’s difficult start continued as Newcastle United secured a 2-0 victory in north London.
Anthony Elanga broke the deadlock before Yoane Wissa doubled Newcastle’s advantage in the second half.
The victory gave Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle his first Premier League win, while Tottenham suffered a second consecutive defeat to begin the campaign.
For Spurs, the early-season pressure will only increase after failing to score in either of their opening two matches.
Hull maintain perfect start
Hull City continued their impressive return to the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Coventry City.
Substitute Liam Millar came off the bench to score the decisive goal in the 82nd minute, giving Hull two victories from two matches.
After beating Manchester United on the opening weekend, Hull have quickly emerged as one of the early surprises of the season.
Coventry, meanwhile, remain without a point after their first two matches back in the top flight.
Leeds rescue point against Brentford
Leeds United maintained their unbeaten start with a 1-1 draw against Brentford at Elland Road.
Kevin Schade gave Brentford the lead before substitute Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalised in the second half.
Brentford controlled large portions of the contest and created opportunities to extend their advantage, but Leeds’ second-half response ensured Daniel Farke’s side avoided defeat.
Sunderland claim first win
Sunderland secured their first Premier League victory of the campaign with a narrow 1-0 win over Fulham.
Wilson Isidor came off the bench to score the decisive goal in the 75th minute after being set up by fellow substitute Habib Diarra.
The result gave Sunderland their first three points following their opening-day defeat, while Fulham remain without a point after two matches.

Bournemouth appeared to be heading for victory after Alex Scott gave them the lead, but Everton produced a late response.
James Tarkowski scored in stoppage time to rescue a 1-1 draw and deny Bournemouth a winning start under Marco Rose.
