BEVERLY HILLS, February 28, (THEWILL) – Governors under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) met with former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday.
THEWILL gathered that the Governors, led by the Chairman of PDP Governors Forum and Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, discussed the lingering leadership crises in the party with the former president.
The meeting held at the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation headquarters, Maitama, Abuja, where they also discussed issues crucial to the survival of the PDP, especially as it affects recent developments in the party.
Some of the issues raised include the depleting finances of the party and how to re-brand the party in readiness for the 2019 general elections.
Apart from Governor Fayose, also in attendance were the Governors of Akwa Ibom, Delta, Taraba, Cross Rivers, Abia, Ebonyi, Gombe and Bayelsa States while Rivers State was represented by the Deputy Governor.
