September 16, (THEWILL) – Gunmen, suspected to be bandits, abducted a pastor along with thirty worshippers following an attack on churches in the Bakinpah-Maro community, in the Kajuru local government area of Kaduna State, on Sunday.

Former chairman of Kajuru LGA, Cafra Caino, who confirmed the incident, said three other persons were killed while the pastor, identified as Bernard Gajera, was whisked away along with 30 worshippers.

Caino said the bandits, who arrived around 10 am in large numbers, shot sporadically targeting the ECWA and Catholic churches in the community.

The State Police Command has yet to issue any statement on the incident.
