Owo Killings: Vengeance Belongs To God – Bishop Isong

June 13, (THEWILL) – General Overseer of the Christian Central Chapel International, Bishop Emmah Isong, has reminded christians that vengeance belongs to God.

Bishop Isong, who is also National Publicity Secretary of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, disclosed this at the Church Premises in Calabar during its Early Morning Prayer Walk/Sports Excercise.

The excercise was organised for church faithfuls and powered by the Remedy for victims of Religious Persecution & Discrimination Initiatives (Official partners of Vision 2023).

Bishop Isong, who spoke through Silo Ekpenyong said, “our religion will not permit us to go for an eye for an eye, because they are killing us we should kill them.

“The bible says thou shall not kill, so we only believe in God Almighty who says vengeance is mine, we have prayed and we believe in God”, he said.

On the prayer walk and excercise, he said the essence is to bring people together, sensitise them on the state of the nation.

He encouraged church faithfuls to get their PVC, vote in right leaders and not mortgage their future.

“Our bishop made up his mind to use this opportunity of democracy day to bring people together, not only to excercise themselves, but get them aware of the current happenings in the nation, Nigeria.

“We have listened to pep talks on security, monkey pox awareness, how to be our PVC and be loyal citizens.

“We also hope to raise awareness on voting in good candidates, people with vision and vote out those that cannot offer anything.

“Enough of collecting N5,000 to sell out your cards, 2 cups of rice, 2 yards of wrapper then mortgage your future, enough of these”, he said.

Hundreds of church faithfuls and members of the Ikot Enobong community turned up for the excercise.
