Outspoken Critic And Second Republic Lawmaker, Junaidu Mohammed, Dies At 73

BEVERLY HILLS, February 19, (THEWILL) – A Second Republic lawmaker representing Kano, Dr. Junaid Mohammed is dead.

The Russian trained medical doctor and an outspoken social critic, died at about 9pm on Thursday.

The deceased’s son, Suleiman who confirmed the death, said Junaid died on Thursday night at the age of 73 after an unnamed illness which lasted for three days.

Also, his younger brother, Dr Ahmed Salik, a former lecturer with the Bayero University Kano and also a former member of the House of Representatives confirmed his death.

Junaid, was a Second Republic Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) member in the House of Representatives.
