BEVERLY HILLS, July 31, (THEWILL) – Former international, Friday Elahor, says Napoli’s newly acquired striker and Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, will clinch the African Footballer of the Year trophy soon.
The former Super Eagles midfielder stated this while speaking with Guardian, adding that he is confident that the striker will clinch it if he continues in his impressive form.
“I see him winning the African Footballer of the Year in the near future if he can maintain his form. Others should brace up to the challenge,” he said.
Elahor also disclosed that Osimhen would be very important for the Super Eagles during the next round of African Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers.

“Very soon the AFCON and World Cup qualifiers will begin; definitely Osimhen has a pivotal role to play towards Nigeria’s qualification for the tournaments.”
