BEVERLY HILLS, April 13, (THEWILL) – Popular Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress, Omawumi Megbele, better known as Omawunmi — on Tuesday celebrated her 39th birthday.
Omawunmi announced this on her Instagram account on Tuesday.
She wrote, “Happy Birthday to me! I’m so in love with the person I’m becoming… Click the link in my bio as my gift if you can’t send it physically… Meanwhile… Notice anything different about me? #plus1 #LDHL.”
THEWILL writes that the singer broke into the limelight at the 2007 West Africa Idols in which she finished as the first runner-up.
And in September 2008, Omawumi released her debut single, “In The Music.”
She has won several awards among which is the “Best Vocal Performance (Female)” award at The Headies in 2009 with her song, “In the Music.”
Another of her songs, “Butterflies,” earned her another award.
