Ogun Police Summon Hotelier Over Secret Room Cameras

BEVERLY HILLS, February 02, (THEWILL) – The police in Ogun State have summoned the owner of Pavilion Hotel and Suites located at Ayepe for allegedly planting secret cameras in the hotel rooms.

THEWILL had earlier reported that some persons who used the hotel complained that they found about five cameras hidden in different parts of the hotel.

This development sparked outrage from Nigerians who accused the management of breaching people’s privacy.

Reacting, the Ogun police command’s spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed that an investigation has commenced into the matter.

Oyeyemi stated that the hotel owner who is based in Lagos had already been summoned by the divisional police officer in Odogbolu for interrogation.

“The owner of the hotel stays in Lagos and the Divisional Police Officer in Odogbolu has invited him. We are expecting him to come and state his reasons for doing so,” he said.

THEWILL reports that Nollywood actor, Femi Branch, had also berated the hotel’s management as he called on police and the state government to thoroughly investigate the case.
