April 3, (THEWILL)- Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oginibo, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, have passed a vote of confidence in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme.
The members, including leaders of PDP and party faithful, also reaffirmed their explicit confidence in the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor; his Deputy, Arthur Akpowowo, and Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Comrade Reuben Izeze.
The reaffirmation of confidence was passed on Sunday, at the Oginibo residence of Comrade Izeze, when he celebrated Easter with PDP members from Oginibo. The event was also attended by PDP members from other Ughievwen communities and those from Ewu and Olomu kingdoms.
PDP political leaders and party faithful from Oginibo thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for appointing Comrade Izeze, an illustrious son of the community, as Commissioner.
Chief Andrew Desi commended Governor Oborevwori for the way his M.O.R.E Agenda is impacting positively on the lives of Deltans, describing his administration as one with a human face.
In his speech, Izeze thanked the people for coming to celebrate Easter Sunday with him. He thanked Governor Oborevwori for the privilege given to him to serve in his administration, stating further that he would work tirelessly as Commissioner for Works, Highways and Urban Roads in achieving the purpose of the Governor’s M.O.R.E Agenda.
The PDP Chairman of Ughelli South, Michael Oshetigho, commended Comrade Izeze for being a pillar of strength to PDP members in Oginibo and Ughelli South. He also thanked Governor Oborevwori for appointing Comrade Izeze as Commissioner.
