November 05, (THEWILL) – Lauren London, the partner to late Hip hop artiste, Ermias Joseph Asghedom, popularly known as Nipsey Hussle, has acquired an ownership stake in the late rapper business assets.
The transfer was made by the rapper’s older brother, Samiel Asghedom, also known Blacc Sam, who recently filed a report detailing Nipsey’s estate, valued at $11 million.
Also, Nipsey Hussle’s two children, Emani and Kross, emerged as the sole beneficiaries, with each set to inherit 50% of the rapper’s assets.
The comprehensive list of holdings includes $7 million distributed across various bank accounts, $4 million from various companies, a 2012 Chevy Suburban and more.
The official settlement of Nipsey Hussle’s estate, valued at over $11 million, reveals that Lauren London is expected to receive a substantial portion.
Specifically, she is slated to inherit $5.6 million for the support of their 7-year-old son, Kross, and a 50% ownership stake in the Marathon Clothing Company.
The detailed breakdown of the estate includes significant funds in various bank accounts totaling $5,997,092. Additionally, assets encompass a 100% membership interest in All Money Inc. ($2.4 million), 100% interest in Marathon Studios, 100% interest in The Marathon Touring ($606,000), and 100% interest in The Marathon Clothing Inc. ($271,000). Nipsey Hussle’s trademark is estimated at approximately $913,000.
Lauren London, the mother of Kross, is also set to receive half of the remaining estate, while an extra $113,000 is allocated for expenses related to 14-year-old Emani’s “health, education, and other matters.” Emani, Nipsey Hussle’s other child, will inherit the remaining half of the estate.
This news unfolds against the backdrop of an ongoing legal battle between Nipsey Hussle’s estate and Tanisha Foster, the mother of Nipsey’s eldest child, Emani. Despite Nipsey’s family securing physical custody of Emani in 2019, asserting Foster’s inability to provide proper care, she contends that the artist’s family leveraged their “financial position and influence” to sway the court’s decision.
In a court petition, Tanisha Foster asserted her ongoing presence in Emani’s life, contending that Nipsey’s family has severed communication with her.
Foster expressed her frustration, stating, “I have continued to be an active part of Emani’s life. She spends the night with me often. I take her to school, and I continue to do the things a parent would do with their child.
“I am very unhappy that the guardians will not take my calls. They have blocked me on their cell phones. I have to go through a third party or Emani to communicate with the guardians.”
Following a court hearing in September, Foster was granted an increase in visitation rights with Emani, who is now 15 years old.
The legal saga unfolds against the backdrop of Nipsey Hussle’s tragic demise in 2019, when he was fatally shot during a verbal dispute in front of his Marathon store in Los Angeles. At the time of his death, Nipsey Hussle was 33 years old, leaving a significant impact on the music industry and beyond.
