Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Top Thirty-Nine Thousand, Oyo Leads

BEVERLY HILLS, July 24, (THEWILL) – The coronavirus infections in Nigeria now stands at 39, 539 after the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, said 591 new cases were recorded Friday. According to the agency, 16,559 persons have recovered while 845 deaths have occurred, with 12 recorded Friday.

Oyo state topped Friday’s data with 191 new infections, while Lagos, the hotbed of the pandemic in the country, added 168 new cases. See below for a full breakdown.

The NCDC says it has tested 256, 038 samples as at July 23, 2020.
