Military Declares Finland-based Biafra Agitator Ekpa, 96 Other Nigerians Wanted

March 23, (THEWILL)- Military authorities in Nigeria have declared at least 97 Nigerians, including Simon Ekpa, a Finland-based Biafra agitator, wanted for terrorism, banditry, Kidnapping and other related violent crimes.

According to DefenceTimesNG, the list of the 97 individuals was approved by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Force, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and released through the Chief of Defence Staff, General CG Musa.

Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Edward Buba, confirmed the names and pictures to Defence correspondents in Abuja, on Friday.

The names and pictures contained bandits and insurgents from the North East, North West, and North Central, as well as Biafra agitators in the South East, who are allegedly behind violent crimes in the region.

A total of 43 persons were declared wanted in the North West Zone ravaged by banditry. Top on the list include Alhaji Shingi; Maundi Yakubu; Boka; Dogo Gide; Halilu Sububu; Ado Aliero; Bello Turji; Dan Bokkolo; Labi Yadi; Nagala; Saidu Idris; Kachalla Rugga, and Sani Gurgu.

In the North East ravaged by Boko Haram and Islamic State for West Africa Province (ISWAP), 33 persons were declared wanted. These include Abu Zaida; Modu Sulum; Baba Data; Ahmad; Sani Teacher; Ba’a Sadiq; Abdul Saad; Kaka Ari; Mohammad Khalifa; Umar Tella; Abu Mujahid; Mallam Mohammad; Mallam Tahiru Baga; Uzaifa, and Ali Ngule.

Also, a total of 21 Insurgents and violent criminals were declared wanted in the South East and North Central Area.

They are Simon Ekpa; Chika Edoziem; Egede; Zuma; ThankGod; Gentle; Flavour; Mathew; David Ndubuisi; High Chief Williams Agbor; Ebuka Nwaka; Friday Ojimka; Obiemesi Chukwudi aka Dan Chuk; David Ezekwem Chidiebube, and Amobi Chinonso Okafor aka Temple among others.

THEWILL recalls that the Defence Headquarters had in November 2022, declared no fewer than 19 bandit leaders wanted with a bounty of N5 million on each.
