September 02, (THEWILL) — American pop star Miley Cyrus has announced her 10th studio album, “Bass Persuades,” as she prepares to enter a new phase of her music career.

Cyrus announced the project on Instagram on Tuesday, September 1, revealing that the 10-track album will be released on September 18, 2026.

“Bass Persuades” will also mark her first album under Atlantic Records, following her signing with the label in July.

The singer also unveiled the album’s black-and-white cover art, which features her holding a rose between her teeth. Alongside the artwork, Cyrus explained the personal meaning behind the album’s title.

“Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong,” she wrote.

“Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me,” she added.

Cyrus further teased the upcoming project with a short video showing her playing an electric guitar as a gritty instrumental plays in the background.

The preview has sparked speculation about a more guitar-driven sound and a different musical direction for the new album.

In addition to the album announcement, Cyrus revealed plans for two headline performances at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

She is scheduled to perform on October 16 and 18, marking her first full-length concerts in the United States since 2021.

“Bass Persuades” follows Cyrus’ 2025 album, “Something Beautiful,” which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The project also comes after her 2023 album, “Endless Summer Vacation,” which featured the Grammy-winning hit “Flowers.”

The announcement comes during an emotional period for Cyrus following the death of her godmother, country music legend Dolly Parton.

Cyrus previously opened up about the loss, describing it as deeply painful while saying, “I have an angel by my side. I always have.”

With “Bass Persuades” and her upcoming Hollywood Bowl performances, Cyrus is set to begin a fresh chapter in her career, combining new music with a return to the live stage after years of limited U.S. performances.
