September 23, (THEWILL) – Manchester United have reportedly identified Crystal Palace defender, Tyrick Mitchell, as a potential January transfer target as Michael Carrick looks to address one of the team’s problem positions.
According to reports from TEAMtalk, the 27-year-old left-back is attracting growing interest from Manchester United and Liverpool, with Chelsea also monitoring his situation. Mitchell’s contract at Selhurst Park is scheduled to expire next summer, creating the possibility of a cut-price transfer during the January window.
United’s interest comes after a difficult opening to the 2026/27 Premier League campaign. Carrick’s team have won only one of their first five league matches and currently sit 12th in the table, increasing scrutiny on several areas of the squad.
