September 01, (THEWILL) – Manchester United has won three straight English Premier League games on the bounce with Thursday’s 1-0 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
The nightmares of United’s first two games of the season appeared to be a distant memory, and despite the fact that their performance was far from perfect, the win moved United up to fifth in the table.
With Cristiano Ronaldo starting yet another tie on the bench, Jadon Sancho’s finish to an excellent play, gave the Red Devils the lead they deserved for the whole of the first half, albeit their intensity fell drastically after the break.
Although Leicester were fired up and posed more of a danger, the visitors were still able to secure another victory, thanks in part to the strong defence of United and the timely introductions of substitutes like new signing, Casemiro.
On Sunday, Leicester and Brighton & Hove Albion go head to head with the Foxes beginning to get desperate to find some three points. On that same day, Manchester United will host Arsenal at Old Trafford.
