BEVERLY HILLS, February 26, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actress, Lilian Afegbai, has rejected the notion of fans tattooing her name on their body; she would prefer they should buy her a Range Rover SUV instead.
THEWILL writes that recently social media have gone agog with pictures of fans inking on their body the images of their favourite stars.
Ka3na, Nkechi Blessing and Bobrisky have had fans honour them with tattoos on the admirers’ bodies, igniting rancorous controversies on social media.
On the latest episode of her vlog on Thursday, Afegbai stated that her own fans should bury the idea of tattooing her name on themselves just to express their love.
She said: “For me, l don’t want you to tattoo me on your body, buy me Range Roger. You think we don’t want a Range Roger? That’s what we want. Don’t tattoo me. You can do that to anyone else but not me. Instead of tattooing me on your body, just send me Range Roger or G-wagon.”
The actress also stated that while it was not out of line for fans to do such for their “cherished” celebrities, they must realise that they would wear the tattoos forever.
“I understand that people can actually love someone unconditionally and be crazy about them. So, the question, however, is: Are you going to love such a person forever no matter what they do?” she queried.
The movie star also tasked those in relationships to think twice before tattooing their lovers’ names on their body.
“If you guys fight, are you going to cut that hand? Before you tattoo someone on your body, be sure it’s forever,” she added.
“I don’t think it’s right. Me l can’t do it. That’s my opinion. Maybe my child, my name because that’s mine. I can’t even tattoo my family on my body.”
