BEVERLY HILLS, April 29, (THEWILL) – Judicial workers have resumed duties fully in Lagos State after a 23-day strike to press home their demand for financial autonomy for the Judiciary.
Although the strike is happening nationwide, the Lagos chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) elected to resume work on the premise that the state had met most of the demands in contention, unlike other states.
Their resumption followed a directive by the Administrative Department of the Lagos State Judiciary.
Although all departments of the state Judiciary have opened, courts are yet to commence sitting.
