December 19, (THEWILL) – The Supreme Court has reserved judgements in two appeals, filed by Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, candidate of the Labour Party (LP) and his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Azeez Adediran, aka Jandor, against the election of Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
A five-member panel of the Apex Court, led by Justice John Okoro, made this known on Tuesday, after all the parties adopted their final address.
Justice Okoro said a date for judgement would be communicated to all the parties.
Rhodes-Vivour and Adeniran are challenging the ruling of the Court of Appeal in Lagos, which affirmed the victory of Governor Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 18 gubernatorial election in Lagos State.
A three-member panel of the appellate court had upheld the judgement of the Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which dismissed the two petitions filed separately by Rhodes-Vivour and Adediran, against the election of Governor Sanwo-Olu.
