SAN FRANCISCO, September 19, (THEWILL) – Former Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, played for nine minutes as Manchester United began their 2020/2021 campaign with a humiliating 3-1 home defeat against Crystal Palace at the Old Trafford on Saturday.
Ighalo was brought in for Timothy Fosu-Mensah in the 81st minute.
Also, Super Eagles midfielder and Palace star, Eberechi Eze, came in in the 75th minute to replace Jeffrey Schlupp.
Andros Townsend scored the opener for Palace in the seventh minute.
Manchester United’s Outcast, Wilfred Zaha, scored the second goal in the 74th minute.
New signee for Manchester United, Donny van de Beek, scored in the second half on his debut but Zaha struck again to hurt his former club to close the game at 3 -1.
