March 05, (THE WILL)- Africa’s richest man and founder of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has announced that the 20-kilometre Road in his refinery and petrochemical company in Ibeju-Lekki will be named after the late Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, saying, “I owe him an eternal gratitude.”
Wigwe, alongside his wife, Chizoba, first son, Chizi and a friend, died in a helicopter crash in the United States a few weeks ago.

Giving his Condolence speech on Monday night at the Celebration of Wigwe’s Professional Life in Lagos, Dangote said Wigwe was pivotal to the success of the Dangote Group.
“Herbert was a visionary, role model, and perfectionist who gave much of himself. He is no longer here with us but his transformative strides are seen throughout our economic landscape and social milieu.
“I am proud to name him my devoted friend, mentee and brother. Finding another Herbert is difficult; I owe him an eternal gratitude.
“Although he never joined the military line, he can be considered a soldier of courage and distinction.
“To immortalise my beloved friend, brother and mentee, I have decided to name our major refinery and petrochemical road, out of the 120 kilometres, the biggest road will be named Herbert Wigwe,” he said.
Also, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has promised to immortalise Wigwe at the Lagos Island Maternity where the late banker was born.
