I Couldn’t Take Care Of My Sister Who Died Of Cancer – Joke Silva

November 24, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actress, Joke Silva, has stated that she could not look after her sister who died of cancer.

The movie star disclosed this as she reflected on the passing of Bisi Silva, her younger sister, who died after battling cancer in 2019 during an interview with Chude Jideonwo.

According to her, she shared a bond with Bisi but could not be there for her because her daughter was also sick.

“There are discussions that I have with her that I cannot have with anyone else,” she said.

“When we discovered she had cancer, she called me aside and said, ‘look Joke, this what I found.’ I said, ‘Okay, we’ve got to find out what it is.’ Then we did the tests and we discovered that she had cancer”.

She also stated that she could only be present for her sister’s first lumpectomy.

“At the same time, another person I loved very much was ill. And so, I couldn’t look after her,” she added.

THEWILL recalls that the actress had earlier disclosed that her husband, Olu Jacobs, was battling dementia after pictures showed her husband had lost weight.
