BEVERLY HILLS, August 07, (THEWILL) – Daughter of Kaduna State governor, Rukaiya El-Rufai has made history by becoming the first female from Northern Nigeria to be named a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Nigeria.
The firm, which is the second largest professional services firm in the world, and the largest in Africa with operations in 157 countries, disclosed this as it announced its class of 2020 partners.
Reacting to her record breaking achievement, Ms El-Rufai said it was a dream come true. “It has always been my dream to be the first partner that will be a role model for female accounting professionals, because there hasn’t been any partner from the northern part of Nigeria at all in any big four accounting firm”.
Rukaiya El-Rufai holds a Bachelors degree in accounting from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where she graduated with second-class honours, upper-division. She is also certified by the UK-based Financial Training Company, and holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science
