SAN FRANCISCO, September 06, (THEWILL) – A Catholic priest, Rev Fr Paul Irikefe, has been abducted by unknown gunmen on Monday evening within the Warri metropolis in Delta state.
The Nation gathered that the lecturer with SS Peter and Paul Catholic Major Seminary in Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo state, was driving one of the cars of his colleague when he was attacked and taken away.
Father Irikefe was said to have been ordained as a Catholic priest on December 8, 2011.
He reportedly came to Delta state Monday afternoon, to participate in the final burial ceremony of one of his colleagues, Rev Fr Amaefule Chike, in Agbarho, Ughelli South council area of the state.
When reached for an official confirmation of the incident, the spokesperson of the Delta state police command, SP Celestina Kalu, said the matter had not be reported with the command.
