May 04, (THEWILL) — Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has revealed that she no longer attends Sunday church services in person, citing distractions from media attention and other congregants.
In a video shared on Sunday, Akindele was seen preparing breakfast for her children and getting them ready for church while explaining her absence from the services.
“Do not ask if I am going to church. I am not going to church. Anytime I go to church, I am always the one they take pictures of. So I will join online”, she said.
The revelation has sparked discussions about the challenges celebrities face in public spaces, even during private moments of worship.
