BEVERLY HILLS, November 4, (THEWILL) – The Presidency Saturday released a detailed breakdown of the political appointments made by President Muhammadu Buhari since he assumed office in May 2015, to counter reports in the media, especially a recent report in Business Day newspaper, that the appointments were lopsided in favour of the north, where the president hails from.
A breakdown of the appointments showed Ogun State, the home state of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, topped the list of appointees into CEO positions of federal agencies.
However, very strategic key positions in the presidency and are held by northerners – Chief of Staff to the President, Aide –de – Camp to the president, National Security Adviser, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, State Chief of Protocol, Director-General of the State Security Services (SSS) and Accountant-General of the Federation.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, made the document available to the media.
