For Baba Ijesha, More Trouble As Firm Offloads Him As Brand Icon

BEVERLY HILLS, May 01, (THEWILL) – Matrix Homes & Properties Limited, a real estate and property firm, says it has offloaded from its ambassadorship deal the Nollywood actor, Baba Ijesha, currently facing accusations of statutorily raping a seven-till-14-year-old girl.
THEWILL had reported that Baba Ijesha had admitted to sexually abusing the foster daughter to the Comedian, Princess, both when she was 7 and recently at 14.
The Nollywood actor has remained in police custody and the the Lagos Police Commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu, stated that Baba Ijesha would remain there until legal advice from the Ministry of Justice.
On Friday, Matrix Homes issued a statement through its Instagram story, wherein it disassociated itself from Baba Ijesha forthwith.
The firm also disclosed that the actor ceased to be its Brand Ambassador due to his misconduct.
It said: “Matrix Homes and Properties Ltd wishes to bring to the attention of our customers and members of the public that Omiyinka Olanrewaju James AKA Baba Ijesha has ceased to be a Brand Ambassador of our company.
“Following his recent misconduct which is antithetical to our company’s values. Matrix Homes and Properties, therefore, disassociates itself in entirety from Baba Ijesha.”
