BEVERLY HILLS, April 17, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has revealed the identities of more inmates who escaped from the Owerri Custodial Centre in Imo State.
Through a thread of tweets on Friday, April 16, the correctional authorities released pictures of escaping male and female inmates declared wanted.
The inmates escaped from the custodial centre on April 5 after an attack on the facility by gunmen.

The gunmen, who also attacked the Police Command Headquarters in the state, carried out the nefarious act very early in the morning.
THEWILL reported that the NCS had on Friday, April 9, via Twitter begun to release the identities of the inmates in batches.
No fewer than 1,884 inmates bolted when the unknown gunmen flung open the prison gates on April 5.
