July 24, (THEWILL) – Esther Benyeogo has won The Voice Nigeria season three following a 16-week music battle.
Benyeogo competed against KPee (of Team Darey), Kitay (Team Yemi), Naomi Mac and Dapo (Team Falz), and Eaziee (Team Waje), all of whom emerged finalists in the music reality show.
In the season finale on Saturday, Esther seemed to have caught the attention of viewers with her delivery.
As the winner, she is to receive N10 million in cash, a car, and a record deal with Universal Music Nigeria.
The finale had started with a rendition of the Greatest Showman’s “A million Dream” by Dapo and Naomi Mac.
After the performance, Naomi Mac was saved by the fans as the journey of Dapo came to an end. Esther and Kpee were up next to render Simi’s hit single “Duduke” and the duo made it to the last four after their performance.
