June 28, (THEWILL) – A dramatic scene ensued on Wednesday, at the Osogbo Eid Prayer Ground, when Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, stormed out of the ground over poor seating arrangement.
THEWILL gathered that a former Senate spokesperson, Ajibola Basiru, along with foremost religion leader in the state, Chief Tunde Badmus, had arrived at the Eid ground in Oke-Baale area of the State capital and took their seats in the front row.
He was, however, approached by some politicians that the row where he was seated was reserved for the Governor and his entourage.
The Senator, according to reports, insisted on seating on the row, which created controversy.
Tension went high when suspected hoodlums attempted to forcefully eject him from the position.
With the enraged scene created by the hoodlums, the Governor, who arrived at the Eid ground at the time, could not leave his vehicle for his seat. He reportedly stayed back in his car because of the scenario.
The Governor, however, left the Eid ground without observing the two raka’at prayers.
