BEVERLY HILLS, March 25, (THEWILL) – The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered the immediate redeployment of CSP Francis Ani, the Divisional Police Officer, Onipanu Division of the Lagos State Police Command, and some of his boys for the harassment and illegal detention of Tunde Abass and one Kabir Mohammed on Friday, 19th March 2021.
Abass was allegedly arrested by officers attached to Onipanu Division for filming the harassment and forceful arrest of Kabir Mohammed at Onipanu Area of the State on Friday, 19th March 2021.
Reacting to the outrage over the incident, Odumosu ordered that the concerned policemen involved in the “unprofessional act” face an orderly room trial accordingly.
He has also ordered that the DPO be redeployed to the State Command Headquarters, Ikeja.
