BEVERLY HILLS, April 03, (THEWILL) – American rapper, DMX, has been hospitalised after suffering a drug overdose and a heart attack.
According to TMZ, sources close to the singer stated that the singer broke down on Friday night, and the prognosis isn’t good.
DMX was reportedly rushed to a hospital in White Plains, New York after the overdose caused a heart attack and according to reports, the 50-year-old is in the critical care unit.
TMZ quoted a source as saying the singer is showing “some brain activity”, while another said he is in a “vegetative state” and doctors fear he may not make it.
THEWILL writes that the singer has talked openly about his crack cocaine addiction which he started at age 14 after he smoked a marijuana cigarette laced with the drug.
DMX has severally undergone rehab and he has also stated that he was battling bipolar disorder.
