September 04, (THEWILL) — Sean “Diddy” Combs’ projected prison release date has been moved up again, with the music mogul now expected to leave federal prison on February 5, 2028.
The latest change was reflected in Bureau of Prisons records on September 3, 2026, moving his projected release forward from February 20.
The latest update marks the seventh adjustment to Combs’ projected release date since he was sentenced in October 2025.
Bureau of Prisons records have shown several changes to the date, with the timeline moving both forward and backward during his incarceration.
When Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison, his projected release date was initially listed as May 8, 2028. It was later pushed back to June 4, 2028, before being moved forward to April 25 and then April 15, 2028.
The date was subsequently moved forward again to February 23, 2028.
In July, it changed once more to January 24, 2028, which was the earliest projected release date in the series at that point.
However, the January date did not remain in place. Following reports that Combs was involved in an altercation with another inmate at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, his projected release date was moved back to February 20, 2028. Reports also said he was briefly placed in solitary confinement following the incident.

The Bureau of Prisons has now updated the date again, moving it forward by 15 days to February 5, 2028. The reason for the latest adjustment has not been publicly explained.
Combs, 56, is serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix after being convicted in 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was sentenced to four years and two months in federal prison.
He was acquitted of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy following his federal trial in Manhattan. His legal team has appealed the conviction.
Combs has also been participating in a drug rehabilitation programme while in prison.
His projected release date could still change as federal officials update his sentence calculations and credits.
For now, February 5, 2028, remains the latest projected release date for Diddy, following seven changes to his release timeline since his sentencing.
