August 10, (THEWILL) — Nollywood actress and evangelist, Tonto Dikeh, has launched a new Christian ministry, New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT), marking another major step in her public faith journey.

Dikeh announced the ministry on Sunday, August 9, 2026, describing NWPT as an interdenominational altar and spiritual home for believers seeking revival and a deeper relationship with God.

She clarified that the movement is not a conventional church but a gathering of believers committed to prayer, spiritual growth and advancing the Christian faith. Its activities will include revival meetings, apostolic training, soul winning and teachings centred on the Christian faith.

The name New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle is drawn from Mark 2:22, a biblical passage about new wine and new wineskins. Dikeh said the scripture reflects the vision of the new movement.

What led to the ministry?

The launch follows a period in which Dikeh has become increasingly vocal about her faith and personal transformation.

In December 2025, she gave an emotional testimony where she spoke about her struggles with smoking, alcohol, anger and other personal challenges. She described the experience as a major turning point in her spiritual life.

Dikeh has also revealed that she grew up in a strong Christian environment and felt drawn to ministry from a young age. Her recent public activities have reflected that renewed commitment, including her emergence as an evangelist.

Her spiritual journey has coincided with changes in her personal life. Earlier in 2026, she reconciled with her former husband, Olakunle Churchill, after years of a highly publicised fallout.

Dikeh has established NWPT as a platform where believers can gather for prayer, spiritual growth and revival. She announced that the fellowship will be held every Friday at 6 pm at Omini Grand Hotel, formerly Alexis Hotel, near Masalachi Junction in Jabi, Abuja.

The launch has attracted different reactions online, with some Nigerians welcoming her new direction while others questioned her decision to start a ministry.
