BEVERLY HILLS, May 23, (THEWILL) – Chi Modu, the veteran Nigerian-born American hip-hop photographer, has died at the age of 54.
The family disclosed this on Saturday night in a terse post via his social media pages.
The family stated that the development left them broken and called on the public to respect their privacy as they dealt with the loss.
“Our hearts are broken… We continue the fight. The family requests privacy at this time,” it read.
The family, however, did not disclose the circumstances surrounding the death of the legendary photographer.
THEWILL writes that Modu was born to Nigerian parents in Arondizuogu area of Imo state and his family had, however fled the country to New Jersey because of the Civil War at the time.
