September 08, (THEWILL) — Nollywood romantic comedy ‘Call of My Life’ has crossed the ₦893 million mark at the Nigerian box office, reinforcing its position as the highest-grossing Nollywood film of 2026.
The latest figure extends the film’s impressive box-office streak after it previously topped the 2026 chart with ₦855 million in earnings.
Distributor FilmOne Entertainment announced the new milestone on Monday, thanking audiences for their continued support.
“CALL OF MY LIFE is officially in the ₦893 million club, and the love keeps pouring in!” FilmOne said in a social media post.
Released on May 15, 2026, ‘Call of My Life’ has maintained strong ticket sales months after its cinema debut. Its performance has been notable because the film was released outside the traditional December period, which is usually a major season for Nigerian cinema.
The film had earlier crossed the ₦600 million mark, becoming the first Nollywood title released outside December to reach the milestone. Its latest earnings have now pushed it further into the top five highest-grossing Nigerian films of all time.
Directed by Dammy Twitch and written by Uzoamaka Power, who also stars in the lead role, ‘Call of My Life’ follows Soluchi, a hopeless romantic trying to recover from the heartbreak of being abandoned by her former lover, Kalu, played by Zubby Michael.
Her life takes an unexpected turn when a routine work call connects her with Eli, a charming Ghanaian news anchor played by Andrew Yaw Bunting. The encounter opens the possibility of a new relationship and gives Soluchi a chance to move beyond her past heartbreak.
The film also features Beverly Osu, Justin UG, Broda Shaggi, Nkem Owoh and Patience Ozokwor. Blessing Uzzi produced the movie under Bluhouse Studios, while FilmOne Entertainment handled its distribution.
Beyond its box-office performance, ‘Call of My Life’ has also gained international recognition. The film won the Favourite Feature Narrative Audience Award at the 2026 BlackStar Film Festival in Philadelphia.
The award adds to the film’s growing list of achievements and gives its commercial success an international dimension.
With its earnings now at ₦893 million, the film is moving closer to the ₦1 billion mark while maintaining its place at the top of the 2026 Nollywood box office.
