October 31, (THEWILL) – Grammy-winning Afrobeat superstar, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has thrown shades at his colleague, Brymo.
While fine-tuning his performance with the Outsiders band, the African Giant took a moment to playfully jab at Brymo in a spontaneous freestyle: “Hustle hard, don’t fall off like Brymo”, he crooned.
The freestyle video gained widespread attention, spreading rapidly across various social media channels.
Adding to the buzz, Brymo didn’t mince words when responding to the shared video on the platform X by WeTalkSound, a music enthusiast.
His comment, “Foolish boy with all these talentless lyrics”, reflects a direct and unfiltered reaction, injecting an extra dose of drama into the unfolding exchange between the two musicians.
Not long ago, Brymo accused Burna Boy of song theft, specifically asserting that Burna Boy’s tracks ‘City Boys’ and ‘I Told Them’ sampled the title track of Brymo’s forthcoming album, ‘Macabre.’
This allegation adds a layer of controversy to the ongoing dynamic between the two artists.
