Buhari Hosts Moroccan Envoy, Reiterates Commitment To Handover May 29

December 06, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, received Shakib Ben Musa, a Special Envoy of King Mohammed the VI of Morocco, at the State House, Abuja.

Musa is also the Minister of National Education, Pre-School, and Sports of the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Envoy was at the State House to convey a message from King Mohammed to the Nigerian leader.

In a brief remark, President Buhari reiterated his commitment to handing over leadership to an elected president on May 29, 2023.

According to the President, his term of office will end with the inauguration of a new president in May next year.

Earlier in his remarks, Musa, who was accompanied by Moha Ou Ali Tagma, the resident representative of the Kingdom in Nigeria, reiterated the friendship and solidarity of the King, the government and the people of Morocco with Nigeria.

President Buhari assured him that he would continue to cherish and strengthen the warm and cordial relations between Morocco and Nigeria.
