December 22, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reappointment of Mallam Shekarau Dauda Omar, as the Executive Director of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in the Bank of Industry (BOI), for a second tenure of four years.
A statement issued on Thursday, by Ifedayo Sayo, Special Assistant on Media to the Minister, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, explained that Omar, whose first tenure would expire on March 5, 2023, will now serve for another four years.
Omar, who is currently the Executive Director, SME, has repositioned the SME Directorate through a remarkable expansion of the portfolio and marked improvement of the risk assets quality.
The President also approved the appointment of Ms Mabel Ndagi, as Executive Director, effective March 19, 2023.
“Ndagi will be replacing a retiring Executive Director, Toyin Adeniji, who would be retiring March 18, 2023, after serving her second and final term in office.
“She is currently the General Manager, Government and External Communications for the Bank of Industry, Ms Ndagi has served diligently in the bank for over 16 years”, the statement read.
