BEVERLY HILLS, June 02, (THEWILL) – Assailants have killed a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mr. Christopher Dega, travelling from his home base in Benue to neighbouring Jos, the Plateau State Capital.
AIG Dega, until his death, was the Senior Special Assistant on Security to the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom.
Reports said he was shot in the chest several times by gunmen on Tuesday.
AIG Dega was twice Commissioner of Police in Borno and Edo States.
He hailed from Katsina Ala Local Government Area in Benue State .
