BREAKING: Abducted Staff, Families Of UniAbuja Regain Freedom

November 05, (THEWILL) – The four lecturers and their family members, abducted by gunmen on Tuesday morning from the University of Abuja staff quarters, have regained freedom.

The spokesperson of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, DSP Josephine Adeh confirmed the development.

She said: “The FCT Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that all abducted victims of the university of Abuja were rescued and reunited with their families through a joint operation with other security agencies”.

Armed men suspected to be bandits had on Tuesday, attacked the University Staff Quarters in Giri, FCT, and abducted six (6) persons, including Prof. Bassey Ubom, his son and a daughter; Prof. Obanza, Malam Sambo Mohammed and Dr Tobit.
