September 24, (THEWILL) – Nigerian singer, actor and aspiring politician, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has relocated to the United States with his family.
Banky W, while announcing his relocation on his social media page, said he is leaving Nigeria with his family to achieve the purpose of his life.
“For family. For faith. For finding purpose. For the next year of earning a Masters degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington DC,” he wrote.
The singer who, a few months ago, successfully underwent his fourth cancer surgery, had in July announced his enrolment at Georgetown University to study Policy Management.
The award-winning entertainer’s relocation is coming a year after he attempted to win a seat to represent Eti Osa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
It was his second attempt and both times, he was unsuccessful at the polls, losing out to the Labour Party’s candidate, Thaddeus Attah, during his second attempt.
