January 21, (THEWILL) – Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has thrown a jibe at his counterpart in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Sowore, who took to his verified Twitter handle on Friday evening shortly after the meeting of presidential candidates and party leaders with the National Peace Committee (NPC), under the chairmanship of a former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd), claimed that Tinubu dozed off throughout the meeting.

He claimed that the former Lagos State governor did not only sleep off through the meeting, but also couldn’t talk as the APC national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, spoke for him.

“We just returned from a meeting of party leaders/Presidential candidates with the national peace committee in Abuja, the Presidential candidate of The ⁦@OfficialAPCNg @officialABAT
⁩ slept through the meeting, he didn’t say a word. His party chair spoke on his behalf”, the tweet read.

THEWILL reports that NPC, met with the leaderships and presidential candidates of the 18 registered political parties on Friday and subjected them to fresh commitment to the Peace Pact they earlier signed ahead of the next month’s polls.

The meeting was apparently informed by resurgence in violence at campaign rallies as well as verbal attacks by the candidates and their Spokespersons.
