…Warns Against Anti-party activities
BEVERLY HILLS, CA, June 03, (THEWILL) – Members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Borno State have been warned against anti-party activities.
The newly-elected state chairman of the party in the state, Alhaji Ali Bukar Dalori, issued the warning on Tuesday, saying the party was not ready to lose any ground in the state.
Maintaining that the only way the party can continue to be in power in the state and the nation is when members are absolutely loyal and obedient, he stressed that all members need to play a part in instituting a formidable party.
Dalori stated this during his speech in Maiduguri, the state capital, at the swearing- in ceremony of the newly-elected party executives of the 27 Local Government Areas of the state, urging the members to respect all the party officials and constituted authorities at all levels. The state APC Legal Advisor , Kaka Shehu Mustapha Haruna , administered the oath of office and allegiance on the executives.
Dalori however assured that his leadership would carry all members along in the running of the affairs of the party. He also called for continued support and cooperation from all the members and supporters of the party and charged the 27 chairmen and secretaries to be honest and fair in dealing with the party members at the grassroots.
Dalori , who also used the occasion to rally support for Governor Kashim Shettima, asked all members of the party to support Shettima in delivering on his electoral promises to the people of the state.
He therefore instructed that chairmen and secretaries of the various wards should be sworn-in immediately as he called on the people to mobilise support the APC in order to win the 2015 general elections.
He also used the opportunity to remind the party faithful of the national convention of the party slated for June 13 and 14 in Abuja, saying the party has arranged for five delegates from each of the 27 councils of the state to attend the convention.
