November 05, (THEWILL) – Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network code named, Amotekun Corps, have intercepted 18 suspected bandits along with several weapons in the state.
The suspects were intercepted in Ondo town, headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area of the State.
They were said to have taken off from Kastina State before arriving Ondo State.
Commander of Amotekun in the State, Adetunji Adeleye, who confirmed the development, said the bandits stormed the state in three 18-seater passenger buses.
He explained that two of the buses escaped while his men were able to intercept one of the buses in Ondo town, adding that the suspects concealed different seizes of knives, swords and guns inside tiger nut bags.
