November 02, (THEWILL) – Senate President Godswill Akpabio has sworn in Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as Senator representing Kogi Central.
Senate’s Clerk Chinedu Akubueze administered the oath of office and oath of allegiance on Natasha at the directive of the Senate President on Thursday.
Natasha was immediately handed a copy of the Senate Standing Rules by Akpabio before she was led to her seat by the Sergeant-At-Arms.
The Court of Appeal, Abuja, on Monday, affirmed Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the duly elected candidate in the February 25 National Assembly election for Kogi Central.
The appellate court dismissed the appeal filed by Senator Abubakar Ohere for lacking in merit.
Earlier in September, the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Lokoja had nullified the victory of Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and declared Natasha as the winner of the Kogi Central Senatorial poll.
