BEVERLY HILLS, July 20, (THEWILL) – Ondo State Governor, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has won the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress in the state by a landslide, polling 2,725 ahead of Olusola Oke, who came second with 262 votes.
Over 3,127 accredited delegates partook in the vote at the international Event Centre, the Dome in Akure, the state capital.
Eight aspirants contested the election after four stepped down and backed the governor, who is seeking reelection for a final term of four years.

Akeredolu, Olusola Oke, Olayide Adelami, Isaacs Kekemeke, Jumoke Anifowose, Sola Iji, Awodeyi Akinsehinwa and Bukola Adetula were on the ballot while lfe Oyedele stepped down on Sunday night followed by Dr Olusegun Abraham, Jimi Odimayo and Nathaniel Adojutelegan a few hours to the vote.
