August 20, (THEWILL) – Air Peace has pledged to work with all the stakeholders including the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA), the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the airport administrators and the governments of both countries to ensure its new route to Douala is maximised and beneficial for both countries.

Ground Operations Manager, Air Peace, Mr Ayodeji Adeyemi, gave the assurance in his address at the ceremony marking the inaugural flight of Air Peace into Douala, Cameroon, at Douala International Airport recently.

Adeyemi also assured that Nigeria and Cameroon will benefit enormously from the Douala route launch, in the areas of employment creation, promotion of tourism, facilitation of a seamless movement of people and other forms of economic value.

Adeyemi stated that Air Peace is famed for its no-city-left-behind initiative, which is driving their route expansion, adding that “the extension of our wings to Douala is resultant from our vision to create affordable and safe air travel for Africans, with our signature hospitality, connecting various cities across Africa, especially the West Coast, thereby fostering socio-economic integration”.

Speaking further he explained that “Air Peace is committed to excellence and we’re bringing this excellent service to Cameroonians. The airline has recorded tremendous feats in just seven years and now operates 19 domestic routes, 6 regional routes and two international destinations (United Arab Emirates and South Africa) with a varied fleet of 28 aircraft, including 3 ultramodern Embraer 195-E2 airplanes”.

On other international routes, Adeyemi said “I’m happy to also let you know that plans are on top gear for other international routes, such as Houston-USA, Mumbai-India, Guangzhou-China and London. We’re constantly reviewing our route network to reflect the needs of the flying public.”
