BEVERLY HILLS, April 12, (THEWILL) – The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Jimi Agbaje has conceded defeat to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Akinwunmi Ambode, who was declared the winner of the Lagos state governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on Sunday.
In a tweet, Agbaje wrote: “I just called #AkinwunmiAmbode to congratulate him on his victory. I wish him well and pray he will be successful in guiding this state.”
Meanwhile, the PDP in Lagos has petitioned INEC over the conduct of the election, saying Card Readers were not used in several local government areas including Epe, Babagry, Mushin, Ikorodu, Eti-Osa, Alimosho, Ikeja, Ibeju-Lekki and Lagos Island.
